Kerala MPs sends letter requesting permission to visit Lakshadweep, legal action will be taken if permission is not granted

NEW DELHI: MPs from Kerala have written to the Lakshadweep Administrator and the Kavaratti Additional District Magistrate requesting permission to visit Lakshadweep. Left MPs Elamaram Kareem, Binoy Vishwam, Thomas Chazhikkadan, MV Shreyams Kumar, Dr V Sivadasan, K Somaprasad, AM Arif and John Brittas will visit Lakshadweep, Elamara Kareem MP said. He said legal action would be taken if permission is not granted.

Meanwhile, the first meeting of the core committee formed by various political parties in Lakshadweep will be held in Kochi today. A six member committee called the Save Lakshadweep Forum formed to prevent the administrator from taking controversial action is convened. Lakshadweep Chief Councilor, MP and legal experts will attend the meeting.
