Covid vaccine will be given to bedridden patients from tomorrow, says Thiruvananthapuram district collector

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Covid vaccination for bedridden patients in the district will start from tomorrow. In the first phase, the vaccine will be given to palliative patients in Kuttichal and Ottasekharamangalam panchayats in Thiruvananthapuram district. District Collector Navjot Khosa said the vaccine would be given to homes by a team of doctors and nurses.

The first stage of vaccination is given for people over 45 years of age. Thirty thousand palliative patients in the district have already registered for vaccination. The vaccination program is being implemented with the help of volunteers. In the second phase, palliative care patients of all ages will be vaccinated at home, the collector said.
