CM Vijayan welcomes PM Modi's announcement, thanks him for making vaccines available free of cost

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement that the states will be given free vaccines from June 21. "Kerala has long demanded free vaccines. This new policy will go a long way in creating social resistance against the Covid pandemic in the country", he said. He said on Facebook that this would avoid the situation where states would have to spend huge sums to buy the vaccine.

"A heartfelt thank you to the Prime Minister for making the right decision", CM Vijayan wrote on Facebook.
