THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a Covid review meeting that curbs will be tightened in areas with high test positivity rate. "There is progress in vaccination. The health department should ensure that the required quantity and quantity of vaccine is provided", he said.

Covid deaths will be reported with the help of software by June 15. The cause of death will be confirmed within a maximum of three days and the family will be informed. The number of people who can attend wedding ceremonies will be strictly restricted. Takeaways will not be allowed in hotels on Saturdays and Sundays. Only home delivery is allowed.

"If Covid is reported in homes that do not have isolation facilities, the patient must be transferred to the Covid treatment center".

"The CM said that complaints were received about some private unaided schools charging excessive fees. Students who do not pay the fee are not allowed to attend online classes. The practice of denying children education will not be allowed", the CM added. The Chief Minister directed to look into the matter and take strict action.
