NEW DELHI: BJP state president K Surendran has lashed out at CPI and CPM in the Muttil tree felling case. He alleged that the leaders knew everything and that the political leadership of the CPI and the CPM were the beneficiaries of the looting.
Surendran also asked why the previous forest minister or his party was silent on the looting. He was speaking to the media in Delhi.
"It was said that the decision was made to help the farmers. If the decision was taken to help the farmers, why was it abandoned after three months?" Surendran said. He also asked if the decision was to help the farmers for only three months.
Surendran alleged that the looting was a strategic and political decision of the government. He said that everything was done with the knowledge of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and that the Chief Minister should not think that he can escape by blaming the officials.
