Hospitals and states must ensure clarity by auditing deaths: AIIMS director

NEW DELHI: Dr. Randeep Guleria, director of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi, said that hospitals and state governments must perform a death audit to ensure clarity regarding mortality during the Covid pandemic. Guleria said that the miscalculations of Covid deaths would affect the fight against Covid. He added that it would be difficult to take necessary steps to reduce the death toll if accurate information was not available.
