THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IMD in its latest weather update has said that there is a possibility for heavy rains to lash across Kerala. Following this, yellow alerts were declared in a different district. The regions that witnessed heavy rains on Saturday now faces the threat of landslides. The latest warnings ask those living in low lying areas, river banks and high range areas where landslide threats are higher to exercise caution and maintain vigil.
The disaster management authority has requested people to obey the directions of authorities and even to shift to camps wherever necessary. As the sea could turn violent, those living on the coastline must be vigilant and cautious. The fishermen have been asked to keep their fishing equipment intact. The night trips to high range areas must be averted. Caution must be taken to avert the accidents which could occur from uprooted trees due to strong winds and electric posts being struck down.

2021 June 13: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod.
2021 June 14: Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod.
