PALAKKAD: The police have submitted a report to the women's commission on the incident of hiding a girl in her lover’s room for ten years. The police informed the commission that what Sajitha and Rahman said was true and that there is no mystery in the incident.

The report mentioned that circumstantial evidence and statements were re-examined. The report was submitted by Nemmara circle inspector. Rahman and Sajitha said they were happy with the police report and had done only honest things.

‘Please allow us to live in peace. The women's commission had registered a case against Ikka (Rahman). I want to know why the case was registered. I lived there according to my wish. I am very happy. The women's commission is said to protect women. Would anyone protect me if Ikka wasn’t there? Ikka is my protection,’ said Sajitha.

Meantime, a team led by women’s commission chief M C Josephine registered her statement today. The women's commission had earlier registered a case against Rahman alleging violations of human rights.
