THRISSUR: The police may file a report in the Irinjalakuda court today arguing that the release of cash and car will affect the case as the investigation in the Kodakara hawala money case could not be investigated. The report submitted will clarify that it will lead to the destruction of evidence.
The report submitted will oppose the plea filed by Dharmarajan, Sunil Naik and Shamjeer in the court seeking release of Rs 1.4 crore and the car seized in the Kodakara hawala money case. Dharmarajan and his team filed the plea in the Irinjalakuda court last week seeking the release of money and the car.
The court had directed police to file a report on June 15. Former Yuva Morcha state treasurer Sunil Naik had claimed that out of the Rs 3.5 crore stolen, Rs 25 lakh belonged to him and Dharmarajan claimed that Rs 3.25 crore was given by his friend for business purposes in Delhi.
Driver Shamjeer had claimed that the car belonged to him. The court had earlier rejected Dharmarajan's plea filed on behalf of three. Later the three filed separate pleas.
