Even if honey and milk are served inside cage, it's captivity, police report alone will not be considered, women’s commission on Rahman-Sajitha issue

PALAKKAD: The women's commission has recorded the statement in the case of hiding his girlfriend in the room for ten years. The commission recorded the statements of Sajitha and Rahman. A team led by women's commission chairperson M C Josephine reached Nenmara Tuesday morning.

The incident is unbelievable, responded Josephine. Even if honey and milk are served inside cage, it's captivity. The way chosen to live together after falling in love is not right. The police report alone will not be considered. The police did not intervene much on the missing complaint of Sajitha’s kin.

Sajitha requested the women's commission to allow her to live peacefully and to drop the case against Rahman. Rahman rejected his parents' claim that Sajitha was not staying with him in the room.

Meantime, Sajitha said the commission has assured her to drop the case against Rahman. She reiterated that she was staying in his room for ten years. The commission took a case against Rahman in the name of violation of human rights.
