KOLLAM: The probe into the discovery of gelatin sticks from Pathanapuram has been extended to Tamil Nadu. State Anti-Terror Squad found that the gelatin stick was made at a private company in Trichy.
It could not figure out to whom it was sold as the gelatin stick didn’t have a batch number. The investigation team believe that the explosives were abandoned three weeks ago. The detonator found in the area was non-explosive. It is suspected that these were used to teach how to make bombs.
The explosives were recovered during a routine inspection by a team led by beat forest officer from a cashew plantation under the forest department in Pathanapuram. Gelatin sticks, detonator battery and some wires were seized from the plantation.
