Christian Nadar community to be included in SEBC list, green light to give reservation in education

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet meeting decided to include the Christian Nadar community in the list of backward classes. It has been decided to include the non-SIUC Christian Nadar community in the SEBC list for admission and entrance examinations for higher education courses.

Departments including Backward Classes Welfare and Higher Education will be directed to issue necessary orders for this and implement them immediately. The Chief Secretary was tasked with overseeing the completion of the matter in a timely manner. Earlier, the cabinet had decided to include these communities in the OBC list and provide reservation facility in the appointment of officials.
