Woman chops off neighbour’s hand over dispute on dumping of waste

IDUKKI: In a fit of rage and amid a dispute over dumping of waste, a woman chopped off the hand of her neighbour. The woman chopped off the left hand of Manu (30), a native of Idukki Anakkara Ezhamma. The woman has been identified as Joemol.

A dispute started over dumping of waste including diapers in the plot adjacent to Joemol’s land. Police said there were disputes between the two families on many issues earlier also.

The youth has been admitted to a private hospital in Ernakulam. The police have intensified a search for Josemol who has gone underground. The incident happened last evening.
