Kerala records 11,361 COVID cases on Friday, test positivity rate at 10.22; 90 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 11,361 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 10,667 persons developed the disease through contact, including 567 cases without an identified source of infection. 64 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 63 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

12,147 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,07,682 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 90 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 11,833.

Thiruvananthapuram 1550, Kollam 1422, Ernakulam 1315, Malappuram 1039, Palakkad 1020, Thrissur 972, Kozhikode 919, Alappuzha 895, Kottayam 505, Kannur 429, Pathanamthitta 405, Kasargod 373, Idukki 311, Wayanad 206.

1,11,124 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.22.
