Covid confirmed on naturopath Mohanan Vaidyar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Covid has been confirmed on naturopath Mohanan Vaidyar (65) who collapsed and died last night. He was found dead at his relative’s house in Kalady. Covid was confirmed on him in a test conducted after his death.

He will be cremated adhering to Covid protocol. Mohanan Vaidyar had been staying with his son at a relative's house for two days. His relatives had earlier informed that he was suffering from fever and breathlessness.

The police had taken him into custody earlier for giving fake Covid treatment. The health department had earlier banned him from treatment. His statements during the outbreak of Nipal had also stoked a controversy.
