Move to shift Lakshadweep from jurisdiction of Kerala High Court; Collector denies report

KAVARATTI: The Lakshadweep administration has denied reports which claimed that an attempt was being made to remove the island from the jurisdiction of the Kerala High Court. District Collector S Asker Ali said that all such reports were false.

It was reported that an attempt was being made to shift Lakshadweep to the jurisdiction of the Karnataka High Court. According to the news agency, the move comes as several cases against the administration have been filed in the Kerala High Court.
