Youth held for murder of aged woman in Malappuram, incident during robbery bid

MALAPPURAM: The man who beat an aged woman to death in Malappuram has been arrested. He has been identified as Muhammed Shafi, the neighbour of the woman. She was murdered during a robbery bid. The police had recovered the stone used for the murder, his slippers and his bike.

The woman identified as Kunjipatthumma (65) of Thiruvakulam was found lying dead on the verandah on Friday. Her neighbours found her body on the floor and informed the police. She was staying with her mother for years but after her death she was staying alone in the house.
