19-year-old found hanging in husband’s house in Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA: A 19-year-old woman was found hanging at Vallikkunnu in Alappuzha. She has been identified as Suchitra, wife of Vishnu. She was found dead at the house of her husband in Alappuzha under suspicious circumstances, family sources said.

The newly wed woman, married in this March to Army officer Vishnu, who is now in Uttarakhand, was found motionless at the bedroom this morning, they said.

Her mother-in-law told everyone that she was found dead in the morning at 11.30 am. Although she was rushed to the hospital with the help of those living nearby, her life could not be saved. The Vallikunnu police registered a case and a probe has started.

Police said the reason for her death will be known only after a detailed investigation. Besides Suchitra, only her husband's parents were there when the incident occurred. Vishnu returned to duty after marriage only recently.
