Kerala records 11,546 COVID cases on Friday, test positivity rate at 10.6; 118 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 11,546 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 10,771 persons developed the disease through contact, including 624 cases without an identified source of infection. 70 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 81 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

11,056 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,00,230 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 118 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 12699.

Malappuram 1374, Thiruvananthapuram 1291, Kollam 1200, Thrissur 1134, Ernakulam 1112, Palakkad 1061, Kozhikode 1004, Kasargod 729, Alappuzha 660, Kannur 619, Kottayam 488, Pathanamthitta 432, Idukki 239, Wayanad 203.

1,08,867 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.6.
