Attempt to subdue gold smuggling case, action against DYFI leaders was to save face: VD Satheesan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan has alleged that there is a possibility to subdue the gold smuggling case and there is an attempt going on. The opposition leader also said that the action taken against the DYFI leaders was to save face. He also demanded that political parties keep criminal gangs away.

The party had expelled Sajesh, a CPM member, for a year for giving a car to Arjun Ayanki, a member of a gold smuggling quotation gang. Sajesh was suspended for a year by the Chembilodu local committee on the recommendation of the district secretariat.
