THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr. Shashi Tharoor MP has opposed the move to conduct university exams in the state amid the Covid crisis. Tharoor has met the governor and asked him to postpone the university exams which are scheduled to take place from tomorrow. After the meeting, Tharoor said there was a sympathetic response from the governor and the governor had promised to talk to the chief minister.
Earlier, it was announced that the undergraduate and postgraduate examinations of various universities in the state will be held from tomorrow.
Made one last attempt today in a detailed discussion w/ @KeralaGovernor,who responded sympathetically & will take it up one more time w/ @CMOKerala. As of now, exams are scheduled to go ahead tomorrow. If State Govt insists on proceeding, I hope they'll explain to the public why. https://t.co/UGuu4vKxkz
