Covid second wave: Kaniv 108 ambulances provided services to 69,205 people

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the second wave of Covid, the state government's Kaniv 108 ambulances provided services to 69,205 people. The figures are from March 25 to June 25.

290 Kaniv 108 ambulances are engaged in Covid related works. The delivery of the three young women affected by Covid also took place in the Kaniv Ambulance. Minister Veena George said the 1500 employees who were frontline fighters in the Covid defense deserve special congratulations.

The services of Kaniv Ambulances are mostly used to transport Covid positive people from their homes to Covid care centers, hospitals and for Covid tests. The service also provided for the transfer of patients for specialist treatment during the lockdown period. Palakkad had the highest number of people who sought the service of 108 ambulance service at 10,471. The least is in Alappuzha-1950.
