Mayor's displaying arrogant approach by demanding that police should salute him; Complaint against Thrissur mayor to Chief Minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hours after Thrissur Mayor MK Varghese complained that the police officers were not saluting him, a person has lodged a complaint against the mayor with the Chief Minister. The complaint was lodged by Ananthapuri Manikandan, a public activist. As per the complaint, the mayor's demand that police officers should salute him should not be enforced. In his complaint, Manikandan stated that the mayor was displaying an arrogant approach by demanding that policemen should salute him.

Earlier, mayor MK Varghese had filed a complaint to the DGP that police officers were not saluting him. In his complaint, Varghese stated that an order must be issued instructing the policemen to salute him.
