Kerala clocks 12,456 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 135 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 12,456 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 11,677 persons developed the disease through contact, including 659 cases without an identified source of infection. 58 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 62 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

12,515 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,03,567 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 135 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 13,640.

Malappuram 1640, Thrissur 1450, Ernakulam 1296, Thiruvananthapuram 1113, Palakkad 1094, Kollam 1092, Kozhikode 1091, Alappuzha 743, Kasargod 682, Kannur 675, Kottayam 570, Pathanamthitta 415, Wayanad 328, Idukki 267.

1,19,897 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.39.
