THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government of Telangana have also welcomed Kitex, which has decided to abandon the Rs 3,500 crore industrial project in Kerala. Telangana Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has invited Kitex Group Chairman Sabu Jacob for an industrial investment. With this, the Kitex Group has been welcomed by six states.

The government has decided not to conduct lightning inspections in Kitex industrial establishments.

The officials led by the General Manager, Ernakulam District Industries Department had a two-hour discussion with MD Sabu M Jacob. The officials will immediately report to the Director of Industries. Minister P Rajeev had also made it clear that there would be no government interference in private institutions. With the Rs 3,500 crore project, even if Kitex comes, it will be accepted. The actions of the government are not meant to settle political animosity. It does not have to be mixed with Twenty20. Rajeev said the LDF did not lose any seats because they contested.

Kitex MD Sabu Jacob, however, accused the government of harassing him by issuing repeated notices despite saying the disputes would be resolved. The mistakes of officials who deliberately harass can be proven. The government must be prepared to take action. Sabu Jacob made it clear that he would not participate in further discussions. Leading businessman MA Yousuff Ali had said that the issue should be resolved through talks between the Kitex management and the state government.
