THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kollam MLA Mukesh has come up with a clarification regarding the incident in which he spoke harshly to a class 10 student who called for help. Taking it to Facebook, Mukesh said that the phone call was part of a plan intended to tarnish his image. "The boy who called me said that it was a friend of his who gave him my number. That friend is not only the enemy of the boy but also of the state. That person intends to harass people through the phone and then record the call. If that boy is so naive then why did he record the call? Why did he call me six times even after knowing that I was attending an important meeting? All this was planned," Mukesh said in a Facebook live video.
"I have registered cases against some people who have made phone calls by pretending to be my office staff. Then there is no need to teach me how to treat children. I have done eighty episodes of a show which had children as participants. I've always encouraged those children and have treated them in the best possible manner. A class 10 student should at least know about the MLA of his constituency. I am sure that there is politics behind this incident. No one should believe it. I am going to lodge a complaint with the police, the cyber cell, and the commissioner. Anyone who worked behind this will be brought to the forefront," he added.
