M P Joseph, K M Mani's son-in- law and former IAS officer, asked whether the Kerala Congress should continue in the Left Front despite the humiliation. Joseph, the UDF candidate from Thrikkarippur, wrote on Facebook that CPM’s identity has come to light after the state government told the Supreme Court that K M Mani was a corrupt politician.

The CPM leaders who brought Jose K Mani to the Left camp with alluring promises are insulting the Kerala Congress and K M Mani. The CPM will not allow the Mani group to grow in Kottayam. M P Joseph said the CPM backstabbed his wife’s brother Jose K Mani in Pala and asked him to come out from the trap of the LDF.
