Two employees stabbed at Paliyekkara toll plaza for not removing barrier

THRISSUR: Two sustained stab injuries at Paliyekkara toll plaza following a dispute that broke out for not allowing a car to pass. T B Akshay and Nidhin Babu, employees of the toll plaza sustained injuries. The incident happened last night.

Police checked the CCTV footages. Two people are behind the incident. Soon after stabbing the two, they fled from the spot. The Puthucaud police have registered a case and an investigation has started.

Police said they have identified the car of the accused. They will be nabbed soon. The car belongs to natives of Mookkannoor in Angamaly. The condition of the injured is not serious.

The barrier was not removed for the car to pass at the Paliyekkara toll plaza at 11.30 pm last night. A verbal spat broke out between them over the issue. Those in the car got out and had a dispute with the employees. They later stabbed them.
