KOLLAM: BJP state president K Surendran has said that the government has appointed a judicial commission to sabotage the gold smuggling case. He also alleged that the police are now violating all the boundaries of revenge politics in the Kodakara, Sundara, and Bathery cases. The investigation team is being used by the government to confront political opponents. Surendran alleged that Sarith and the accused in the gold smuggling case were being tortured inside the jail.

"The government is playing politics of revenge against BJP and anyone who opposes it. Jail authorities are trying to sabotage the gold smuggling case by forcing the accused to say the names of Congress leaders and BJP leaders including Union Minister V Muraleedharan. The office of the Chief Minister is behind this. Such a development is unheard of in the history of the state," Surendran said.
