THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state chief K Surendran will appear before the investigating officers on Wednesday for interrogation in the Kodakara heist case. He will appear at the Thrissur Police Club at 10.30 am. The investigation team had first issued a notice asking him to appear on June 6. However, he could not appear as the BJP office bearer meeting was scheduled on that day.
He in a press conference had stated that he would appear in any case, including the Kodakara case and was not afraid of anything. He alleged that the jail authorities putting pressure on Sarith, the accused in the gold smuggling case, to give statement against the BJP leaders, is misuse of administration. Surendran said using judicial commission for political gains would be politically and legally challenged.
