Australian MP heaps praise on Yogi Adityanath for crushing Covid pandemic

NEW DELHI: Australian MP Craig Kelly has lavished praises on Uttar Pradesh for crushing the Covid pandemic. He even asked if the Uttar Pradesh government can loan Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Australia to "sort out the mess" created by the pandemic.

In the second wave of Covid, only one percent of Covid cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh, which has 17 percent of the population. The UP government had claimed that it was the first state to use the drug Ivermectin to reduce the spread of the disease and reduce mortality. Ivermectin was administered to people who came in contact with Covid patients. Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) had also praised the Uttar Pradesh government.
