Light and sound shop owner commits suicide in Palakkad

PALAKKAD: A light and sound shop owner has committed suicide in Palakkad. The deceased has been identified as Vennakkara native Ponnumani (59). Ponnumani tried to commit suicide two days ago. He was found lying unconscious after consuming poison.

Though he was rushed to the hospital, he died by today morning. According to relatives, Ponnumani committed suicide as his job was adversely affected by the Covid crisis. His son Sudhilesh said that Ponnumani had some debts. Last week, a light and sound shop owner had committed suicide in Thiruvananthapuram.
