Kerala records 16,148 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, TPR above 10, 114 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 16,148 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 15,269 persons developed the disease through contact, including 742 cases without an identified source of infection. 62 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 75 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

13,197 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,24,779 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 114 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 15,269.

Kozhikode 2105, Malappuram 2033, Ernakulam 1908, Thrissur 1758, Kollam 1304, Palakkad 1140, Kannur 1084, Thiruvananthapuram 1025, Kottayam 890, Alappuzha 866, Kasaragod 731, Pathanamthitta 500, Wayanad 494, Idukki 310.

1,50,108 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.76.
