THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the Indian Meteorological Department has forecast isolated heavy rains in Kerala in the coming days. The state is likely to receive heavy rains as low pressure is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal on the 21st. Heavy rainfall in recent years was due to low pressure. Extreme caution is required.
He directed the government agencies to make preparations. Avoid bathing in rivers and other bodies of water. Do not go to sea for fishing until July 18. Coastal dwellers and concerned government agencies should remain vigilant as there is a risk of rough seas.
