Police introduces token system for traffic control at Mittai Theruvu; decision impractical and will oppose, say traders

KOZHIKODE: In the state where lockdown relaxations has been granted for three days in view of Bakrid, the traders came forward against the police restrictions in Kozhikode city. K Sethumadhavan, state secretary of Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi said the decision of the police introducing token system in Mittai Theruvu to ease the rush during purchases will be opposed and it is impractical.


He said that they will not agree with the impractical decisions of the police. However, will not clash with the police. Kozhikode City Police said the token system will be strictly enforced. DGP Anil Kant had directed the district police chiefs to ensure that the people adhere to Covid norms.
