THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Youth Congress state secretary Adv. Veena S Nair has lodged a complaint with the governor and the women's commission against minister AK Saseendran for trying to settle the sexual harassment complaint. In her complaint, Veena stated that it was unheard of for a minister to try to settle a complaint of sexual harassment. 'The minister has acted against the values of the Constitution of India by trying to settle a complaint of sexual harassment. Morally and legally, this minister has no right to remain in office,' she wrote. According to the complaint, the minister deliberately tried to cover up the crime against the woman.

In a letter to the governor, Veena demanded that the Chief Minister be directed to remove Saseendran from the cabinet and that steps be taken to remove the minister to uplift the overall pride of women in the state. Veena also demanded the Women's Commission to recommend legal action against the minister.
