Kerala clocks 17,481 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 105 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 17,481 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 16,600 persons developed the disease through contact, including 698 cases without an identified source of infection. 86 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 97 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

14,131 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,29,640 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 105 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 15,617.

Malappuram 2318, Ernakulam 2270, Kozhikode 2151, Thrissur 1983, Palakkad 1394, Kollam 1175, Thiruvananthapuram 1166, Kottayam 996, Alappuzha 969, Kannur 777, Kasaragod 776, Pathanamthitta 584, Wayanad 475, Idukki 447.

1,45,993 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 11.97.
