K Surendran named seventh witness, 22 persons named accused; Police files chargesheet in Kodakara case

THRISSUR: The police team, probing the controversial Kodakara hawala case, has filed a 625-page chargesheet before the Irinjalakuda magistrate court. There are 22 accused and 216 witnesses in the case. All those who were summoned for questioning by the probe team were named witnesses in the case. BJP state president K Surendran has been named the seventh witness. Surendran's son is also on the witness list.


According to the chargesheet, the money found by the probe team was a BJP election fund. Out of this Rs 1.45 crore was found. The chargesheet also stated that the probe team will continue its search for the remaining money and for the culprits who are yet to be caught.
