Working hours of bars increased, will operate from morning 9 am

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The working hours of bars in the state have been increased. The bars will be open from 9 am onwards. The official explanation is that the working hours of the bars have been increased to reduce the congestion at the beverage outlets.

The new schedule will come into effect from Monday. Beer and wine parlors will also operate from 9 am to 7 pm. At present, the bars in the state operate from 11 am. Liquor will be delivered in parcels as before.
