Vaccination for children could start by September: AIIMS Director

NEW DELHI: AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria has said that the Covid vaccination for children in the country could start by September. He said that Bharat Biotech's Covaxin trials for children are presently underway and the results are expected to be released by September this year. Guleria also said that Pfizer and Zydus vaccines should be soon available for children.

The country is in fear of a third wave of Covid-19. The central government aims to vaccinate all citizens above the age of 18 by the end of this year. India has so far given more than 42 crore doses, officials said.
