CPM to cover up shame in Karuvannur: Four, including bank's former president, expelled from party

THRISSUR: The CPM has taken action in connection with crores of irregularities at Karuvannur Co-operative Bank. Former president of the bank's board KK Divakaran and accused in the case Biju Kareem, Jeels and Sunil Kumar were expelled from the CPM. District committee members KR Vijaya and Ullas were demoted to the area committee. Former district secretariat member CK Chandran has been suspended for a year.
