Officer who wrote note against tree-felling order is first rank holder in PSC exam, administration didn’t know that big corruption had to be covered up, says Jacob Thomas’ FB post

tree-felling

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former vigilance chief Jacob Thomas has backed additional secretary Girija Kumari, who wrote a note saying the government's tree felling order is against existing laws. In a Facebook post, Jacob Thomas said the person who entered service after securing first rank in the PSC exam held in 1996 has now been kept out of the secretariat. Jacob Thomas also included Girija Kumari's then PSC rank list in his Facebook post. The administration did not know that massive corruption had to be covered up, he said criticizing the government.

The government transferred all officials including Girija Kumari, additional secretary, who handled the tree felling order, in the beginning of this month, to various departments.
