Kerala logs 20,624 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, TPR above 12, 80 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 20,624 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 19,487 persons developed the disease through contact, including 927 cases without an identified source of infection. 112 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 98 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

16,865 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,64,500 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 80 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 16,781.

Malappuram 3474, Thrissur 2693, Palakkad 2209, Kozhikode 2113, Ernakulam 2072, Kollam 1371, Kannur 1243, Alappuzha 1120, Kottayam 1111, Thiruvananthapuram 969, Kasaragod 715, Pathanamthitta 629, Wayanad 530, Idukki 375.

1,67,579 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 12.31.
