THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A meeting led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will be convened Tuesday evening to reform the lockdown system in the state. A decision on the relaxation of restrictions will be taken on the basis of a report prepared by the experts’ panel headed by the chief secretary as per the directions of the chief minister.
The main recommendations of the report prepared by the experts include weekend lockdown only on Sundays, permission should be given to open all shops six days a week and time of functioning of the shops should be extended.
Full control on local bodies will be changed as per the TPR. Restrictions will be imposed to one street or a small area in micro containment zone.
