Rakhil was given training on how to use gun, visuals surfaces; Bihar natives who gave gun to Rakhil brought to Kerala

ALUVA: Two Bihar natives arrested for giving gun to Rakhil which he used to murder Manasa, who was a house surgeon at Kothamangalam Dental College, has been brought to Aluva.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested Sonukumar, 21, of Parsanto village in Bihar's Munger district and middleman Manish Kumar Verma, 25, of Buxar district. The accused were brought to the Kochi International Airport and later taken to the Rural District Police Headquarters for questioning by SP K Karthik. The SP said they would be produced in the Kothamangalam court today after further questioning at the Aluva Police Club. The SP said the service of Bihar police was well received.

The suicide of the first accused in the case caused a crisis in the case at first. But the arrest of the person who gave the gun and the middleman helped the case to move forward. The SP said Rakhil, who bought the gun, also received a one-day training on how to use the gun in a desolate place in Bihar.

It is being investigated whether the accused have confessed and whether more accused are involved. K Karthik said there was no evidence that more guns had come to Kerala.

Defendants will be taken into police custody from the court for detailed questioning.

SIs Mahin Salim, VK Benny, CPO MK Shias and Home Guard Saju were on the probe team in Bihar.

The shocking incident took place on the 30th of last month in a rented building near the college. Manasa was shot dead by her former friend Rakhil, of Rahul Nivas in Melur in Kannur's Palayad, who then committed suicide.
