THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government has honored the Malayali athletes who have excelled at the national and international levels by giving them attractive prizes. CPM leader Thomas Isaac said there should be no doubt that the same approach would continue.

'The best way to honor medal winners is to thoroughly review our current activities in the field of sports and incorporate the necessary changes. The national hockey teams have achieved great progress after the Odisha government decided to sponsor them. This should be a lesson to other states and the central government. Other countries achieve success by creating a common sports culture and ensuring the highest level of training for the best,' Isaac wrote on his Facebook page.
