Periya case: Bike taken into custody by crime branch goes missing from police station

KASARGOD: A bike taken into custody by the crime branch in the Periya case has gone missing. The bike used by the accused in the case has gone missing from Bekal police station compound. This was one of the bikes used by the team who came to attack Sharath Lal and Kripesh.

The bike K L 60 L 5730 honda motor bike used by Subeesh, a native of Velutholi, eighth accused in the case is now missing from the station. According to the police, the bike taken into custody was produced in the Kasargod CJM court.

However, the crime branch said the court gave the bike to Bekal police in security custody. The case is currently being investigated by the CBI. One of the vehicles used was missing while the forensic examination of the weapons was underway.
