Ration card and people

The ration card has now become an essential item. The first reason for that is you get quality goods from ration shops. In the olden days, the affluent sections were reluctant to go to the ration shop. Some had even claimed that the goods were of low quality and worm-infested. Under the guise of this campaign, some of the ration shopkeepers sold the goods in the black market, and people were forced to buy the same goods from the grocery stores at a higher price. That is not the case now. Such swindling does not happen nowadays. Quality has increased a hundredfold. When the government started providing free kits through ration shops, people from all sections started competing with each other to buy them.

A revolutionary change in the field of rations is that cardholders can buy rations from any ration shop. This was due to a change in technology. The benefit it has given to the people is not small. Food and Civil Supplies is one of the best functioning departments in the state. The fact that those who alternately ruled the department were able to use changes in technology made this department acceptable to all. The ration industry has emerged from a state of complete slowdown. Minister GR Anil, who is now heading the department, used to go to the ration shop as a teenager and buy household items. Hence, he is aware of the difficulties and hardships associated with it. The minister is a person who has realized that the unnecessary problems in the procedure are the reason for some to stay away from it. Therefore, the minister told the assembly yesterday that the procedures for issuing the card within 24 hours would be simplified. He also informed that ration cards will be issued to all families in the state. The Minister said that since Aadhaar information is provided with the application if any other card is involved, it will be known immediately and
the department itself will resolve it.

The minister also announced that special consideration will be given to those living in rented accommodation. It must be noted that landlords often refuse to give consent for a variety of reasons, making it difficult for the tenant to receive the ration benefit. It has also decided to issue multiple cards to tenants with the same house number. Some propagate that ration shops and small grocery stores will be shut down when big malls and provision stores come along. However, what happened was the
opposite. This department is an example of how a department can become popular if it is managed efficiently and without any unnecessary issues. This can serve as a model for other departments in the state.
