Union Minister V Muraleedharan on Sunday took a dig at the CPM by stating that the party, which portrays Indian nationalism as a symbol of hatred and animosity, has had a change of mind. He was responding to the CPM hoisting the national flag at party offices as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
'The CPM has had a change of mind after witnessing the country's support for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Those who distorted history to seize power in independent India are now trying to erase the 75-year-old black chapter,' he wrote on his Facebook page.
Muraleedharan added that the Communists' animosity towards Indian nationalism and the majority community would not end only by hoisting the flag.
