Law Academy lecturer commits suicide by setting him ablaze at college campus

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A lecturer of the Law Academy in Peroorkada committed suicide at the college campus. He has been identified as Sunil Kumar. He committed suicide by setting himself ablaze at the college campus Wednesday afternoon.

The reason for the suicide is not known. His burnt body was found in the campus. Though he was rushed to the medical college hospital, his life could not be saved. He had attended the Onam celebrations held in the college this morning.

The students saw him sitting in the ground. A bottle containing petrol was found from his bag. The body is kept in the hospital.

His last post in Instagram was about death. The statement of teachers and students will be recorded.
